The aim of this project was to up-cycle old and unusable parts into new, desirable products. After a frantic few hours of collecting anything and everything that might possibly be useful we sat before a daunting and precarious mountain of junk. Inspired by Alessi I hoped to make something playful with an injection of whimsy. Soon I had created a little army of robot products, I loved the idea of giving old parts a new life by making it look as if they were literally alive. The addition of character made us all imagine stories, names, adventures and relationships for them, we even flirted with the idea of making a little animation of their romantic escapades. An afternoon later Stump-E and his ladyfriend had became my favourite.
